just uploaded my latest workout (11th October)
unfortunately, there are some strange figures for the Max speed and Max pace.

Max Speed:
1123.85 km/h

Max Pace:
00:03 min/km

I had a similar problem with one other workout, but, then the next 2 or 3 were OK again.
Is this a Android app related issue or is it only upon uploading?

regards,
David

I think it's connected with some gps signal problems ( that or you are SOOOOOOOOOOOO fast!!).

it has to be a GPS signal problem , i wonder if the acceleration is when i went over a bumpy section of track.
So the rapid gives the false data :)

Hi,

I also got this problem, my first recorded training shows 3400km/h and the training were only 8 sec long (should be 42 minutes).
Ewerything else seems to be ok, calories and the track.

Do anyone got a solution to this?

/Jenny

MustangJenny: your issue is device-specific, and likely common to all Spica users. We'll try to have it fixed.

Have you tried the new update (SportyPal OS1.5 on the Market)? Does it help with the Spica issues?

I had the same problem on my Droid today.... with version 1.7.1. It took over 5 mintues to initialize the GPS and then it started telling me I was running 5 second miles. I tested getting my location on google maps and there was not an issue... leads me to believe it was more applications specific? I love this app especially with the new updates where it tells me every mile marker. I hope this does not persist

Well, there is one problem I can see now.... Date of my workout is 1.1.1970. The previous version did the same... Is it also Spica bug or am I doing something wrong? Should I set date somewhere manually?

It seems like we've only fixed the total time. We'll try updating the application on the Market later today after we've attempted another fix.

I have a spica and OS1.5. The only thing that works is actually distance. The date is wrong (1970 something), it does'nt record kcals, incorrect speed, total time about twice as long as it shold be and therefore the avarage speed is way too low.

Let's say that i've been walking for an hour, then the phone probably will say about 1 hour 50 mins or so, and avarage speed around 2,5 km/h which is way off..

I'm glad that at least distance is correct since that's the most important according to me!

Any ideas? :)

EDIT: SWEEET! now I saw the update on android market. Gonna test it first thing tomorrow. :)

I hate to tell you, but there's still problems.
I really don't mean to complain but here's the list of problems I experience:

-Doesnt record kcal's (when set to walking, if i set it to cycling it does.)
-shows two different total times depending on if your show map or details
-The date shows 1973 and time is different all the time. (say initially 14:00 and an hour later it can be 19:37)
-Avarage speed is maybe OK now, if total time shows correct. (will investigate later today and clock with my wristwatch to be certain.)

Here's an example (walking):

Date:
11/08/1973 15:16
Distance:
489 m
TotalTime:
00:11:42
Average Speed: (is correct if total time is)
2.51 km/h
Calories:
0 kcal

Start time: (really was 12:00)
15:16:40
End time: (walk lasted för about 10 minutes)
18:16:40
Best(100 m):
0.00 km/h
Max Speed:
0.01 km/h
Max Pace:
4526:25 min/km
Average Pace:
23:55 min/km
Total climb:
0 m
Total descend:
46 m
Location:
Stockholm, Sverige

If you want me to try anything to make it work or need more details so just ask. Love your quick and friendly support!

1.7.4 has been released. Check it out and tell us if it's any better than the last one.

I've tested 1.7.4 version today and it still fails... During the workout: time ok, distance ok, avg speed incorrect... Finished saved workout in phone: date and time of workout ok (today), total time bad (1:53 instead of 0:28), distance ok, avg speed bad (according to time)... After upload on site: date and time of workout ok, workout start and end time bad and other stats bad.... After I edited some track points and saved workout, date and time changed to the bad one - same as start time (1.2.1970...)....
I hope there will be some solution soon, because I like sportypal and it would be great to have it all correct on spica...

Thanks
