Hello,
I went running today with my sporty pal with the goal to get under an 8 min/mile. At mile 1 SportyPal told me the elapsed time was 8 min 20 sec, at mile 2 it told me total time elapsed was 17 min. 25 seconds and at mile 3 it told me I was at 25 min 45 seconds. The mile four marker was never announced.

When I finished my run the SportyPal screen read that I had run a total distance of 4.10 miles with the the total time elapsed for my run being 31 minutes 28 seconds. I am certain I did not run the last 1.10 mile in under 7 minutes.

Anybody know why the disconnect between the mile marker readings at total time run? Is the GPS not that specific? Is it some kind of estimate?

Thank you,
Jason

Were your voice notifications set to time-based or distance-based?

Distance based voice notifications have a known distance lag problem. Using time based notification will work around this until they fix that.

See the thread "Voice Notification" for some history on this.
